Big question of the week -

when is a pot art and when is a pot just a pot 
ART vs CRAFT - where is the line - what is the difference 
what is high craft ? is there low art?

• Artists of the 20th century began to use manufactured objects in their artwork. 
• Some artists, as with Duchamp’s ready-mades, used the objects without any alteration. 
• Some critics have claimed this practice is a “cop out.” 
• Do you think these works are valid art? 
• If not, how much manipulation is necessary for an object to be considered art?

Montage is a collection of whole or partial images, either static or as a film/video, usually of easily recogniable people, places or things,

Graded Writing Assignment

• Architecture - explain topic you recieved in class in paragraph of a min of 50 words, show lots of photos.....show original sample and a modern day samples - you will present to class next week - 1 minute minimum

FACE BOOK assignment

• Post an Environmental Sculpture or Installation  and tell why you like it, where it is , who did it , date and style
